Typically when you put close to 300 of the industries most competitive practitioners in an enclosed space it's a recipe for gnashing teeth, backhanded compliments and professional jealousy that makes the legal profession look like the Fellowship of Friendly Fijians. and I should know, my daughter has married a Fijian fella and you could not get a more friendly and relaxed nation of people.

Back to the point.

Cas Majid the founder of the now legendary National Digital Awards planned not only a program of awards to celebrate the underserved, the as yet unrecognised champions of the UK digital industry, but an atmosphere of pure collegial joy. Agency leaders mixed with industry brands and emerging talent in a fun, vibrant atmosphere the like of which we've never experienced at an awards night anywhere in the world. The key success indicator for Cas would surely have to be seeing every single delegate up on their feet bouncing along in a conga line, and that was only part way through the awards section of the evening.

From authentic Bhangra drumming to set the heartbeat of the night to come, to an MC and entertainment that literally brought the party alive.

Whether an agency won or not, the experience was top notch and will be remembered long into the summer.
